It worksI have an old Sony DVD player that lately I’ve been watching from sitting in an easy chair. The charging cable for the DVD player is for connecting to an automobile cigarette lighter socket making it very difficult to charge the Sony from inside the house. I know very little about volts and watts, but I thought I would take a chance and try this charging cable by connecting it to a USB portable battery and the female end to the automobile cigarette lighter cable. It worked. I can now charge the DVD player from anywhere using a portable USB battery and the original charging cable.
